Good honest food, real taste
Dinner is served! Our chef is junior manager Alexander. What flavours can you expect in the heart of South Tyrol? Fresh, hearty, varied. Alexander uses largely regional products, preferably local ones. He prefers to buy directly from local farmers. Freshly picked berries are collected from the neighbour’s farm, vegetables are purchased from the Aspingerhof run by organic farmer Harald Gasser who supplies South Tyrol’s best chefs with his delicacies and especially tasty vegetables (only we serve you in Barbian vegetables from the Aspingerhof). Try the taste of the heart of South Tyrol. In Haus an der Luck only authentic food is served.
Dining with a view
At the weekly barbecue night Franz dons his blue apron and cooks up his specialities. The social get together is accompanied by junior manager Alexander on his accordion and his childhood friend Andreas on the guitar. South Tyrolean classics to sing along to! What the younger generation achieves with music, Franz creates with his jokes and humorous stories - a cheerful sociable atmosphere.
Cherished tradition
In autumn things get cosy when the dining room becomes the Törggelen parlour. Valle Isarco is known for this tradition. Barbiano is also situated along the Keschtnweg (chestnut road) - As chestnuts feature highly in Törggelen, this makes Törggelen here virtually obligatory!
Steaming dumplings, Schlutzer pasta with plenty of rendered butter, sausages with sauerkraut and homemade Barbiano Krapfen deep fried pastry parcels with chestnuts are on the menu. “Frieda makes the best Krapfen in the whole of Barbiano”, people say in the village. Dessert is the obligatory portion of roasted “Keschtn” (chestnuts)”. On Törggelen nights South Tyrolean songs are sung deep into the night accompanied by the sound of glasses chinking.
Homemade food
On request dinner and breakfast are served on the terrace. Eat to your heart’s content from the breakfast buffet. We serve local produce and homemade foods. Because homemade food tastes best!
